Brisbane Tubes

I was reading an article on this website about fishing the Brisbane Tubes for stripers.  I was wondering if anyone has fished that area recently (the article was from 2007) I think I have drove past this area but am not sure.  It sounds like an ideal area for striper fishing.  If anyone has fished there recently I would love to hear about it, thanks.

Nothing has changed since 2007... great place for striper action.

Been there a couple times with some of the fellas, I never caught one myself, but I did see the other guys get a least one at every outing. Not exactly a red hot bite. Just keep an eye on the bank fishermen...some of 'em will pin live bait on a bobber and use the outgo tide to float the bait out which pretty much covers the trolling zone. You might be better off anchoring just beyond their casting zone and then cast your hair raiser right into the mouth of the tube.

I actually paddled inside that tube and came out on the other side.... (I did it on a slack tide)

If you are coming from Sacradementia, there are plenty of other places to fish besides this area that are easier to access and probably better fishing.

Just looking to expand my striper fishing grounds.  I love fishing the sac and the american, but I would also like to hook into some stripers out in the bay.

When the strippers start running around Alcatraz the action can be really hot there if you have live 'chovies.  Just watch the current and the myriad party barges that will also be there. 

If there are strippers running around alcatraz I'll be there! I have have a hunch that dollar bills will be the better bait then anchoives though! Haha!

Thanks for the tip, I imagine that would be a nice trip on the yak. Thanks Backcountry, I will plan on making that trip once the stripers show up in that area.
