So me and the Gf head to folsom this morning, and was lookin forward to meeting up with SCREWSLOOSE and other fellow NCKA'ERS back down at Natomas but decided try out folsom instead! We were amazed how beautiful it was today and well, it was! Launched from granite bay and immediately she hooks up! As i turn and look, i see her rod just bent down to the water, reel screamin! 2 minutes later and she pulls up her first and VERY NICE Fat Bronzeback! Then minutes later she yells out bites!....At this point Im like No way and thinking what em I doin wrong....sets the hook, and reels in a lil king! I only got 1 bite immediately after she hooked up the King in the same area and that was it for the rest of the day! Both fish caught drifting minnows on a sliding rig. Did mark schools of fish too! Tried trolling a dodger w/ worm but no luck! All in All, it was a great day and we had a blast! water still around 52-54 and still very low, but rising!

Honestly, i bad mouth this place too especially during the summer which i would NEVER FISH, BUT FOLSOM COULD ACTUALLY BE GOOD AT TIMES FOR BASS AND SALMON. I ONLY FISH FOLSOM FROM NOW TILL THE END OF APRIL! WATER HERE JUST CHANGES TOO FREQUENTLY AND IN RETURN MAKES THE BITE TOO INCONSISTENT! BUT IT DOES HOLD SOME BRUSIER SIZE KINGS!!!

Yea but she doesn't like Smallies :smt044
