Serial poacher arrested

In a bizarre story, game wardens arrested a convicted deer poacher hours after he was sentenced in court in a previous horrific case. Fish and Game Warden Patrick Foy said that Lofoo Saeturn, 43, of Sacramento had been sentenced to 270 days in jail for possession of deer meat for sale, and other charges. Saeturn was poaching deer and then selling the meat, Foy said. Last January game wardens said they found 200 pounds of deer meat from 28 deer, according to DNA forensic tests.

But the jail term was converted to home monitoring, and when Saeturn returned home from court, Foy said, game wardens found him with two more bags of deer meat and arrested him. The suspect is the same individual who was cited in 2004 for possession of 88 juvenile salmon and catching a sturgeon while illegally using salmon as bait, Foy said.

Obligatory OG comment:

I see no mention of Ken in this article...  :smt005

Serious comment:

That's insane - 200# from 28 DIFFERENT deer?  88 juvenile salmon?  :o

One of the inherent shortcomings of our legal system - it's difficult to determine who has actually learned from their conviction and who will turn around and become a repeat offender.  Even if you have a hunch, there's no legal recourse to address it without evidence.

This is the kind of shit that doesnt make any sense at all. Obviously this guy thinks he is exempt form the law. Stuff his ass in SQ like they did the ab poachers form Santa Rosa. Confiscate all vehicles since they were probably used in the crime.

I agree. This perp has a clear disdain for nature and civility. I don't see any recourse but to throw the book at this guy, hard.

Tie some of those salmon to his neck and let him walk around mountain lion territory.  I think of it as a becoming one with nature expedition...

Maybe the cops left a couple bags of venison in the freezer so they could come back after he was released and immediately bust him for repeat offense.  ;)
