Found the right species today...

Another extremely slow day on the delta.  OTW by 9:20 in the fog.  Didn't get anything to hit until 3:00 when a schoolie striper (only 17 inches) hit my crankbait coming over a shallow weedbed.   Started working a rock wall that had been warmed by the sun all day and my crank got sucked in by this five pound, five ounce mouth monster.  





Not much of a bite, but such a great fight!  She went around 21 inches or so and had a nice belly starting to form.  In return, she gave me a good splash with her tail as I released her.  Quiet day on the water with only a few bassers buzzing around.  Looks like we will have some more wet stuff this week.
