But it wasn't a largemouth, unfortunately.

But this 8.2 pound striper gave my new spinning reel and 10 pound test line a workout this morning.  I was tossing a t-rigged worm near some deep tules, and she popped it when I brought it off the bottom.  She took a few nice runs and I got a short ride out of the deal.  Released after a quick measure and pic.  Fun times, but it was the only bite of the day.  The water in the delta has gone from up to 5/6 feet visability to only 6 inches or less since the last set of storms.  Haven't found the new pattern for LMB, but I'll keep at it.

Be safe out there.

You asked, so does that justify my thread jack?   :smt003

My 8 pounder arrived Monday night.  Although I'm going to be removed from the fishing scene for a little while, I'm happy as hell!  Looking forward to getting back into the swing of things in the Spring.  Looking forward to future hook-ups as well.

Nice on Bryan... the delta has been slow but something like that will sure get the blood flowing.

Kevin, the title to my post was designed to pull you out of the shadows, haha!  Congratulations on being a new dad!  She's beautiful.
