Hooked up with some of the fellas and hit the water. After a quick stop and go at Chucke's to pick up bait, I was off to the launch. Duane and Dave were already out on the water and Allen was still on his way. Allen wasn't too far and we quickly unloaded and hit the water. The tide had already turned and was flowing out pretty good. We set the pick and settled in. A couple of taps and a baby leopard comes aboard to say hi. I was thinking that it wasn't going to happen today. I've never scored a sturgeon when I catch garbage fish. I see Allen swing and... miss. Bait robbers... It's going to be a long day. But at least the weather was awesome. About an hour later... something feels funny. It didn't feel like a tap or a pump... felt like some grass hitting the line or something. What the hell... I'm swinging... OH YEAH... goooooooooooooooood wood!!! That's not grass. But, I didn't think it's da Kine either. Funny head shaking, hmmmmmm... big shark or something... It swims to me and under me... thinking that it was going to get tangled in my anchor line... I pull the release and we're off. 5 minutes later... Hmmmm... no death roll or anything that a normal sturgeon would do. A couple of minutes later, a nice dino to the boat. Didn't even need to use the snare. All good... Get some congrats from the boys and relax a little. Sure was a nice day. Chucke, Allen and Duane were still on the water when I left.

I usually don't take many pix otw but, because Fishunter won't believe if he don't see it... this one's for you bro.

enjoy,

Freddie
