yea....im new to fishing for sturgeon in a kayak and dont think about things like mud & cold feet. i got on the water solo at about 845am and the water was dam near pouring into the street , super high tide! my fish finder wiring took a dump so i had to paddle out with the chart images still stuck in my head only , found some water str8ght out that was about 10 feet deep with heavy current , me being the delta rat that i am figured that this is what i look for back home so why shouldnt it work here , i droped the anchor ad got a good line going , baited my mono leader with some ghosts that i had left over from saturdays oakland airport trip (they were still alive) and casted out a little sideways trying to stay in line with my boat. things were a little bumpy buti cold still see what was going on with my rod tip , about a half hour goes by and i see another yak in the parking lot of bullead flat getting loaded down ready to set sail , paddles up to me and it turns out to be gabriel*El dorado, we talk a bit and he goes a lil further out then i was still within shouting distance and sets up shop. it didnt seem anymore then a half hour from when he got there that i hear him shout something then turn around and see him loaded up with weight! fish on!. he starts working the fish in and i offer him a hand , he says it was alrigt and starts owning the fish without even lettin his anchor go "what a guy" im thinkin , i liked his style!, he fought it a lil longer and it turned out to be a lil pig of a fish @ 53 inches , he took a few pics of it and let it back free , that was cool of him, the next few hours were back to the beat , good ol waitin alng for that bite and when a bite did happen to me i swung for fences and brought up a starry flounder, back to the drink he went. not much else happend except on our way back in the mud was as real as it gets , i felt like "atreyu" from the movie "the never ending story" at the part where he was running through a swamp right after his horse died, mud was deep and thick but we helped each other through itand got back in to clean our gear , shoot the shit for a minute then head on home! thanks gabriel for the elp man , fish with you again some time

and let me know if u need help with those pics.

Wow!!!!   What a lucky day  for Mr Dino.I was  jonezing to goand  had seen  the hook up by Andy and was loaded and was just feeling it :smt002 So I paddle out  to where I saw someone in aYaknear my spot and sayd  howdy to Andy. After sitting in the rain ,the wind, the  waves I yell "this is what they like" to Andy ,he turns and  knods whith his head bopping" yes" , I think :smt044 Soon after 11:05 Ifeel this thump, tip ,tip, thump and I set.I could tell it had some pop in it  ,Just like me  and the farmers  daughter :smt002,he just took off downstream,so i worked him for what seamed like12 min ,or  1hr in my mind.FinalyI saw  color ,wow,Then Idecided to let him go.As I released him I sayd  "just cause im having a bad  day dont meen you have to" gave a kiss and adios

WTG Gabe. I wish I was there so I could have watched you instead of the other way around like last time. Gabe knows sturgeon and he might be a bit of a charm for youse guys. Gabe you have to shrink the pics to get them to load on the post now. Anything over 1mb wont load. I go to edit then to image then to strech/skew and reduce the size then click OK Good Luck because we need to see those pics. Did your fish go airborne?
