Now I’m a Defense contractor, working at NPS (Naval Postgraduate School) in Monterey.

My wife told me the other day on the drive back from Shelter that I should tell people what I do.

She also said that since I'm fairly well versed in personal finance, that I should offer to help out those in our community that feel they may not be where they want to be financially. So....

I also work for the Securities and Exchange Commission as an examiner of Investment Advisers, with background in broker-dealer regulation.  So if you ever have problems with a financial adviser or securities broker giving you the runaround, feel free to reach out to me. 

I'm also sort of a personal finance jack of all trades and have a strong understanding of mortgages, HELOCs, consumer credit/credit repair, car leases, new car purchases, solar financing, some minor tax prep, passive investing, travel hacking, credit card points/deals, personal fishing shopping, home and life insurance....generally a consumer advocate for everything.

I'm always willing to help out a community member who wants advice. Feel free to reach out anytime.  I'm extraordinarily impartial and a very blunt instrument.
