It is not hard to feel cabin fever when we are looking at weeks of wet weather ahead!  How about we instead try to concentrate on a future that includes lakes and rivers full of water and a delta system alive with fresh water to lure incredible ocean going creatures far inland!
Can you share where you hope to  fish this season?   What do you hope to catch?  What would make for a great year for you on the water?  Will you include your family more or less in your passion?  Will you teach a child to fish?  Will you buy a new kayak, a new rod and reel, a new vehicle to haul it all in?
We are all so lucky to live in this eco system and to be able to experience it in ways that others only dream of.   I am looking forward to a great year on the water and being able to read other peoples posts so that I can at least dream of being on the water when I am stuck at work!

Nice!   Not sure I remember what a "salmon" is, but I am pretty sure it comes in cans from the store?  I would really love to catch a fat salmon from my yak!  I miss salmon fishing more than anything!

My goal is to catch as many species of fish as I can while I'm still between jobs and have fun doing it!

:hello2:  Hallelujah for the rain!   I'm not so sure about cabin fever though.  When it rains, I fish in the rain.

Goals for this year:
Fish for a Dino with some NCKA dudes.
Shelter Cove at least once
AR steelie from a Yak
Catch something other than a carp from the Danube (I'm going to Budapest this summer).
Catch a nice cod in the alsund fjord (and Norway).

Taking the boat to Canada again late summer is a plan.  Upper Vancouver Island.  Yaks on top of the camper.  Best of both worlds.   Some lings and salmon from both the boat and yak and maybe an encounter with Orca's from the Yak.

Let's see. Since I still do not own my own yak and only go out with my brother "Raydog" since he let's me borrow his other yak. What a Bro.  :smt005
First things first. Get a yak. Lol
Second would be to catch as many fish as I can from it.
All Species are fine with me but I do lean towards those dino's.
I've fished primarily from PB (Don't hate) and the levee's but times are a changing and so must I.
So far to date I've only caught a gopgher rockfish from a yak. Hey from what I've read, Northern Boy hails the Gopgher so I must be on the right path.  :smt044 :smt044 :smt044
Anyhow, I look forward to getting out on the water more and more.

Tight lines to all.

+1 on let it rain.

Goals, keep fishing for a sturgeon.....and a salmon. Go fishing on some lakes for bass. Make at least one trip down to CenCal to fish for WSB. Go to fish xxx xxx if Sincoast has another get together down there.....been away too long. Maybe a Baja roadtrip.....also been away way too long. Surf & fish Baja Norte. Mucho cervezas!

Considering purchasing yakima racks for my truck's campershell.....and a chest freezer for my catches.

Non fishing goals, ride & finish at least one D-36 enduro this year, C class of course.

Go diving more.....early in season to avoid late season thicker kelp.
No more shore diving. Yak diving only.  :smt003
