GS4 - The MADNESS begins!!!!!!!

NWS forecast is now looking like a match to the my other sources which had already indicated a great weekend.  I feel confident to announce that we are in for some EPIC conditions.  Do not take this lightly.  I have seen the best and the worst and everything in between.  Many of us pride ourselves in our ability to yak and fish in less than perfect conditions, but I think we all cherish those days when the conditions become totally secondary to all else.  We look like we're in for that.  Let's all take a moment to reflect on our good fortune and to appreciate those brothers (and sisters) who, miles away up and down the north state, toil along with us to prepare for what is looking to be one of the most amazing experiences in our lives.  This is real.  I'm so stoked I could cry! 

I think that's flatter than last year and we caught a lot of fish last year.

Yeah that is sure better than GSII. However, the mixed swell can be tricky so the potential for someone to go swimming is still a posibility.

Hope I will get dismissed so I won't have to miss Friday salmon trolling.

Man your giving me goose bumps with these WX reports... a little AC/DC "If U want Blood" in the background, would make it more profound.....Hell Yes!!! I'm leaving @ 4am tomorrow.........SALMON........Just met a local from shelter yesterday @ work and was pumping him for intel...was telling him about GS4, said he'd be there if he could, has 3 boats...told him "imagine catching all those fish from a yak"  sway him from the darkside....j/k...not

No Sledge, I didn't make Albion last year. 

I got an idea of maybe trying to do some blackened abalone and/or fried in Zatarains that I am thinking should turn out pretty good...bringing up the cast-iron skillet, grease, spices and new stove so I am sure we will get something good going...

Wife is gonna make a big pot of Jambalaya for the potluck as well.

That mixed swell makes for some good boogieboarding near the ramp - and the surfers will be down at Deadman's Gulch just 350 yards to the east.

I can't sleep, I can't eat and I aint worth a shit at work (customers are tired of hearing about this weekend).

2 MORE DAYS

I spoke to Jack Sanford, the owner of the campground/deli, last night.  He is rolling out the red carpet and giving us extra space to party and some free firewood!  This was his firmest message:

DO NOT CLEAN FISH AT THE CAMPGROUND!!!   I told him to please let me know if that happens, and he said, "it'll be easy to tell because I'll be kicking them out of the campground!"

He's a great guy and he's treated our group wondefully - be sure to use the fish cleaning station right at the top of the road to the launch.

Also be sure to patronize the deli at the campground early and often.  They have great food and all the beer, ice, bait...etc. you'll need.

 I'm at site 101 and the kids are doing great. They'll be at Albion but they are staying home this weekend. Not that Logan wanted to but Mom has to work so I get to play. I'll be getting in late on Thursday and want to get in the water for some abs first thing in the morning to catch that nice low tide before the afternoon swell comes in plus just wake my ass up with a nice cold swim.

Hey guys. I got space 99 at the campground and since me and my girl will only be using 1 parking spot and the limit is 2 i believe. If anyone needs a parking space let me know.
