GS4 - The MADNESS begins!!!!!!!

Guys going crabbing and abbing Friday I would like to tag along too..I plan on getting up there around noon so I will look for you all.

I still need to get a new wetsuit jacket before then...mine some how shrank..can't seem to fit into it..so if anyone has a good diveshop recommendation in the EastBay por favor.

ok...laugh away at me but for  the potluck can I make a suggestion that we furnish name tag stickers.. I know we have many newer members (me included) and frankly my memory just plain sucks... It would be nice to put a name behind the face / NCKA handle.

I started reading from the top searching for the tournament format and rules but figured I'd just ask...which page is it on or is it yet to be established..? ie time start /end , included fish, teams etc..

GS4 - May 15th, 2010 at Shelter Cove

- AOTD format
- bonus of 1" per released species
- team fishing for safety compliance and C&R assistance
- each team to have VHF, camera, measuring device, prior ocean experience
- individual scoring
- potluck at The Tides Inn
- Grand Prize of new blue Trident 15 Angler w/ seat
- other prizes will be offered (custom tackle, potential seat/gps/paddle/pfd/...)
- free t-shirt for first 40 early registrants (before April 15th)
- $25 registration includes shirt and tournee entry
- in the event of a hurricane we'll decide the fate of the prizes by committee of all members present
- late entry (after May 1st) = $40 and maybe no shirt
- all entry fees over and above receipts for kayak, shirts, potluck supplies/other to be given as prize money or decided on by committee of all members present
- kayak can be returned and t-shirts may not be made until at least 36 people have paid
- I reserve the right to cancel the tournee and return all entry fees

I'll tighten up the rules and format of the tournee soon and post it here.  Also, I'll hand out a copy of the rules, format, weigh-in time...etc. on Friday evening/Saturday morning when people pick up their tournee packets/shirts and sign the waiver.

Shoot, not sure what happened to the check!  It's not been cashed, and I think it was sent 3 weeks ago or so...   I guess I'll send another, unless ya are taking paypal?

We are planning on launching around 9AM Friday and heading south to drop traps. Of course if PK sleeps in...  By noon we should be salmon trolling. Call us 69 and we can give you a gps coordinate. Head south a hundred yards or so before heading west to clear the shallow area and wash rocks.

Head south further than that.  If it's rough at all you need to go about 1/4 mile south before heading west - breaking waves can pop up anywhere west of Pilot Rock with no warning.

Al - Sorry I never got your check - that only happened to one other person.  I've been receiving payments in 3 days from the bay area.

Don't worry, all you lovers of Santa Cruz Slackers, I made the executive decision to let a certain contingent of SC Slackers off the hook by guaranteeing them late registration and a shirt - I'm only doing that for a select few, so don't ask!

Got 'em today, and they turned out great.  I'm stoked.
