kayaks for kids

i need to get a kayak and paddle for my 7yr old daughter natalie. she is a good swimmer and is tired of riding in the back of my kayak. she says she is ready to be captain of her own vessel. furthermore, her mutinous behavior is affecting my fishing. does anyone have any ideas for a suitable vessel for a crumbsnatcher her size ?

IMO: I'd get either an Ocean Kayak Frenzy or a Malibu Mini-x. The plus side to it is that even adults can use it AND you can use it for drifting the rivers 

Jack I have a Venus(paddle,seat) that my wife rarely uses you are welcome to use it anytime for as long as you want. My 8yr old niece loves it

I think as long as you have a small kayak the paddle is more important.

     I started on a O.K."Yak" Board  for Abs at VanDamm. The price is right but,
only good for short trips. I would go with a P13A because it's safer and She will be able to keep up with the Faster Yaks. The Scupper Pro T/W is my Fav. for Price and Speed and Weight.
