And that makes 0 for 4 for me this week alone, plus one day last week at Black Point and I forgot how many 10 hrs day this past spring.
I hate Sturgeon fishing.
Allen and Sonny were still out there, when I got to the truck Allen radioed that Sonny had fallen out and was in the water, and let me tell you that water was MOVING, Allen called back shortly and said Sonny handled it like a pro, self rescue, and had a dry suit on, 2 thumbs up Sonny :smt006 Hope you guys got into some fish.

You the man. That sounds like a absolute, complete, and total burn out, perhaps due to hanging out in the bay. Hope to remember your effort as I drag off to the Delta.

I hope Sonny didn't lose anything in the water. Glad to hear he got back on his
yak without any problem. Goodluck next time Ben. That big sturgeon is just right
around the corner. I can feel it. :smt002

Wonderful day on the water today with great friends. Lots of good stories and chicanery. Sonny didn't fall off his kayak....he got a little warm in his Kokatat dry suit and took a little dip to cool off.  :smt002

It's my false.  After Ben and Adam went in, I tried to move closer to Allen so we can chat while waiting for "something" to bite.  The water was moving quite fast and I lost balance while trying to anchor the yak.  Another thing might contribute to the error was it's my new (bought used) Hobie Pursuit and it's a little tipsy not like my Outback.  Lucky  for me I leased all the gears so no gear loss,  thanks Allen for recovering my bait container, water bottle, and anchor  :smt001

That was the first yak I ever bought, and, yes, it's quite tipsy.  Glad you worked it out and didn't lose gear.

Keep your chin up, Ben, it's better than work...

Thanks for all the concerns guys.  That Kokatat suit worths every pennies!  Not a single drop of water got in and it kept me warm all day out there.

Sony,
glad you managed to scramble back in. I can't imagine being swept past your boat in those strong outgoing tides...  :smt009 nothing to laugh about. That could real serious real quick!! Maybe you otta go back to your more stable boat out there. Imagine trying to deal with a big dino on a tippy boat. Allen, you are a determined man. I can just imagine what your going to be like if you manage to land a good one, I remember you on the Klamath... :smt002

Well, At least one of us was able to get off his kayak and stretch for a minute.

Okay, all joking aside. This all  happened in the wink of an eye. I was merely a spectator for the most part as Sonny did a perfect self rescue. He stayed with his boat and kept calm while informing me he was okay, got  his boat righted, and bellied up on the kayak like the pro he is.
The second Sonny had gone in  I released my anchor, announced to the boys on shore we had a man in the water, and stood  by. Sonny's ability to save himself kept me out of any sort of danger and I thank him for that sincerely.

keep the tip up, watch your anchor rope, don't try to ..... :smt044
i once heard about that one. :smt002

Sony~ i imagined the worst when the call on the radio came. I was 5 min. from shore, burping, sweating and thinking that i was gonna have to turn around, paddle my sickly ass off to get back out, only to throw-up on you as i offerd my hand in assistance......I hoped real hard that you guys had it handled, cuz i was feeling bad. Then i remembered just who is out there with you......and then the ALL's GOOD call came through and i was very relieved, so i threw-up.  :smt078

it got sheepy and i got wheezy! .......IthinkI'MgonnaRETIREinHONORofMOOCH :smt012

pic of Sonys' new yak.....i looked sweet, when i took this pic. (and thanks for the doughnuts again, i laid off them this time and only had 10.
