Out of the game for a few months

Going in for surgery on the 17th.  They are doing a disectomy on my L5-S1 disc.  Should be fairly simple, 90% success on the procedure, and 2-4 weeks recovery and I can go back to work light duty.  Might not be able to sit in a kayak for a while, so San Diego was a fine topper for a great year fishing.  Looking forward to next year and meeting more of you guys on the water.

I appreciate it guys.  If I can handle it, it will give me some much needed time at the vice fro tying flies.  I owe Dilbeck a bunch, and severl others.  I want to hit the lobsters again before they close, so as soon as I am healed up, and anyone wants to burn a weekend in San Diego, I got the spots already scoped out, and figured out. I have plendty of room in my truck and room on my rack.

I can only speak for myself, but don't stress the flies.  Healing is priority number one here.  Get well soon Rich!  Look forward to actually crossing paths next year.

Montana i'd be game for such a weekend trip.  heal fast, watch a ton of TV, and read a couple good books, man.

you should be able to fish for days after the recovery period.  Better, Faster, stronger..the bionic yakman.

I'm in.  always wanted to do lobster.  I'll remind you next year.  Can it be done anytime or is there a season?
