this was my first time yak-crabbin so the pressure was real after spending a lil sum sum on all the gear , hoping it wasnt a bust

turned out to be a productive day though, me along with fishing buddy dr fectavious worked a bunch of tr102s and a ring all around the area , at the end of the day i ended up with 6 dungies and 5 rock crabs which i kept ad the good doctor ended up with 7 dungies and a rock crab , pretty nice harvest for beginners! we boiled um right up after in a turkey fryer while we shot the shit with a couple of other yakkers , great day although i was super late getting home and arangments had to be made so the kids would be watched until i got home so hopefully my ol ladie gets sidetracked by the crab legs in the kitchen before she starts talkin her shit!

learned that fresh bait is a must and that sometimes you just need to let um soak longer

pics in a little while

Nice job on the crab... just curious, how is the launch out that way? Hopefully, your lady won't bash you too much for being late.

Nice! How deep did you set your traps?

You did much better than I did on my first trip there. I only came home with 2
dungies and 2 rock crabs. Thanks for the report.

easy launch , kinda reminds me of MBK because the farther u get away from the jetti the bigger the waves but at the jetti its like a lake, not a long haul from your car to the water either.

our best depth was 25 feet , we paddled out to 40 feet and droped the ring but nothig seemed to bother it .

chicken and salmon heads were the ticket today

Congrat on your catches!  Was there lots of grass/sea weeds in your traps when you pull them up?
