Loaded the lady and dive gear and headed to an unfamiliar territory.....Fort Ross. We decided to head to the area despite the wind and swell reports so if nothing else we can see the area.. We ended up @ the Ocean Cove Campground which in my opinion is an awesome place, also fifteen dollars cheaper then the state parks. :smt006... We rode out the storm on Fri and headed down to Fort Ross on Sat to check out the beach. Upon arriving I set to scope out the coves. The swell was rolling but doable. The visibility was about one foot. After sitting around for an hour I decided to get the dive gear to at least get wet. I feel very confident and comfortable about now but know I shall not dive alone. About the time I was going to abort the mission A line of divers came marching down the hill... I said what the hell and slipped into the water. After about thirty minutes they all start exiting the water empty handed. I stayed in the water for around fifteen more minutes and found A nice 8 -incher! Yeah I was stoked and Yeah Brenda and I ate good last night!!!! Pics to follow.....Andy

WTG Andy! Iknow where the first pic is and thats rough. Real rough. The worst viz I ever had was complete black water at 25ft in Jenner once. The next worst was 2 inches and I really only found 1 ab that day. When I dove down my faceplate landed right on an abalone. Haha. God dude, do you always make your wife carry everything? :smt006 It feels good when you get out of the water with something that others couldnt do. Again, congrats.

WTG Andy.  Sorry I missed you this weekend.  Way to brave it out.  It was so big in Bodega, I didn't even bother driving up there.  When mushroom hunting instead.
