Most recent original painting by NCKA's Amadeo Bachar! With winter upon us, it appears that he's stuck indoors long enough to finish up some paintings.  :smt003

Like many, I'm consistently blown away by the quality of Amadeo's work. His pieces not only have exquisite detail, but evoke an emotional connection to the artwork...

Shameless plug for a friend who is too modest for his own good - a wide variety of prints (including this painting) are available on http://abachar.com/

Wow! Thanks for all the complements.  They are truly appreciated.  More items for the AOTY prize table.   :smt002

Hamachijohn -  All my prints are signed and at this point are open editions.  Shoot me an email ([email protected]) if you are really interested in some prints for your office and I'll give you an NCKA deal.   :smt004

As a diver in SoCal I gotta say that painting captures the experience of paddy hopping very accurately.  When I first get in the water on a paddy, if there's any fish on it, it's the yellowtail that would approach first.  Their initial "swim-by" they can get very close (within feet).  They come by and give you the eye just like those two or three fish in the painting.  Off in the distance you can see more YT or mahi making a big circuit around the paddy.  Bait would hold tight to the paddy for fear of being gobbled up.

Awesome job, Amadeo.

Whenever I see Amadeo's work, I'm just amazed. As good as it looks on the computer, the prints look even better in person. I wish I had a bigger place with more wall space for more. Hmmm... maybe I should drop some hints for Melissa... xmas is right around the corner.

Great stuff Amadeo!!!

Wow, truly beautiful art. What medium are you using? Ive only been painting for a couple of years, long enough to see art like yours and become awestruck.

guitarzan- the medium I use is watercolor, and I do teach a summer class up at UCSC in marine science illustration focusing on watercolor. I'm hoping they pick it up this year.
