Got to Miramar at 8:30 AM, water looked decent, but radio was silent and no fellow yakkers in sight.  Since I haven't launched at HMB before, I didn't know where folks met.  Tried the jetty and wound up at the ranger station at the marina.  Got the skinny, and finally decided to go out on my own from the boat ramp.

Once I made it out past the jetty into open waters, the swells were a bit high (radio said 11ft).  I barely got started to get rigged up while fighting the swells, and thought it better to convert to a re-con mission.  So packed it up, paddled around a little more, and headed back in.

When I got back in, met Lucky13 on the dock.  We drove up to the Pacifica Pier and thought we might try there.  Waves were crashing hard so just walked out to see how folks were doing.  They were not too productive, and the traps were washing all over the place.  Would have needed alot of weight.  Thanks for the company, Ernest.

Tomorrow's report looks much better for HMB. May try again.
