Those carp are pretty scary.

1. they fly out of the water when they're scared
and
2. the attract red necks armed with compound bows that like to shoot at them from a moving power boat when they fly out of the water.

Wouldn't it be more fun to do 30 knot carp skeeting?  :smt044

They seem to be saying that containment and/or control of invasive species is impossible, since water goes everywhere.

Gee, could it be???

Control is possible if they remove the water link between the Great Lakes and the Mississippi River but, knowing the Army Corps of Engineers, action will come too late.

I've heard of 20# Grass carp jumping, while being seined with catfish, striking a worker in the chest and killing him.

As far as Carp go, these are supposed to be pretty tasty. Maybe they need to create a "the other white meat" type of campaign combined with a bounty. Have fishermen do what they do best  :smt004

They really can't be contained, at least not within bird of prey flying distances, not to mention idiots who feel they need to spread fish around. CA is ahead of the curve on this one. It's illegal to posses Grass carp other than state licensed triploid (sterile) individuals.
