I wonder if our favorite hobbit footed fisherman could keep up with this wave siren???

for her, I'd hit the rowing machine at the local gym all winter long  :smt007  :yak

If I ever decide on getting a 3rd kayak....I may have to name it "THE HOBBIT"  :smt120

You should invite her up(down?) to see your favorite waves.  Then we can all join you both for a good spanking in the waves....... :smt083

Craig - have you launched it yet?

I've taken it out three times, once for yakfishing, once for hoop'n, and once for a club demo event.
Here is the 1st launch pics's:

We launched in 2-4 ft sets, landed in 8-10 ft sets with occassional 12 ftr. as we packed-up.

I took a class from her at the BCU Symposium and her boat handling skills are impressive. She's a BCU Five-Star Coach--that's the highest rating they give and the British Canoe Union has one of the most strict and rigorous programs going for sea kayaking.  If you read her blog about her 5-Star assessment you'll realize it was pretty intense. Reminds me of Jump School in the Army and Ranger Training--it is that intense. Not in a combat sense--but in a rocks and surf and cruel sea beating on you in the dark sense. The character and fortitude under pressure those who pass the 5-Star have is laudable. Here is one guy's story and he didn't pass! http://www.maineislandkayak.com/pdf/lib_bcutraining.pdf
