Man... it looked like a great day out there. I got an invite to dive with a buddy and turned him down to spend the day doing absolutely nothing. DAMN!!! Oh well... next time or next year... it's all good.

Those perch are small Mooch!!

...yup, ANYONE can shoot a big fish  :smt002 And those little guys were eyeballing me as well....do you realize how difficult it is to hit a perch that's facing you while you are getting pushed around by the surge?  :smt002  Just call me the Perch Sniper  :smt063

Craig, can't thank you enough for gifting me one of your abalone = that was really cool of you  :smt045 Let's definitely hook up for a spearfishing trip some where in Monterey sometime soon!!! I'll put on a clinic on how to spear the "elusive eyeballing perch"  :smt003

I spent the weekend at Salt Pt with the GF, she's really good about "waiting on the beach", but this weekend was a full GAF builder, no gear allowed (my stupid idea), saw you guys roadside at the gate but we were on a mission, sorry I missed it, today was worse, the ocean and wind just continued to lay down.  Earned lots of points but it cost me,,,,,,

Glad you guys had such a great time in a special spot.

BTW checked out SR Shell Beach launch per Saltydog's (Redyak) post a couple months ago, it's an absolute go for next season.

Thanks for the report guys. Water looked nice in your dive spot. Craig, you are a fashion trend setter with you Wetsuit thong shot. That shot needs to go on the cover of some dive magazine. Man, you do use your equipment to it's fullest potential, and beyond. Bought my Yazbek wetsuit last spring and you will not regret doing so. You'll love it and you will find giant abs for the rest of your dive life becaue of it. Just kidding, but it is an awesome wetsuit. Thanks for sharing

Nice report and pictures , makes me want to start diving again . Got some wear on a knee of my wetsuit from earlier rockpicking career , never saw rear end wear like that ! Must have slid down too many slopes getting to the water !
