Craig,

Do you replace the whole door? Seems that would be the easiest solution..

We ordered a used door from LKQ. I repaired the roof(dents).the used door has been painted on the inside jamb area and reinstalled. Its in the booth now getting painted. I will get it back to me late this afternoon for final re- assembly and she can p/u in the am for her trip. Sometimes everything falls into place.

That's an impressive turnaround Craig. Do you flea and tick bomb the passenger compartment?

I detailed the interior while waiting for parts. The grime from the bear came off the headliner and the seats cleaned up nice. She will have to get the headliner replaced when she gets back to Chicago because we couldnt get one in time. I'm just glad the little guy didnt shit all over the interior. :smt044 :smt044 :smt044 :smt006

I had a window popped out of my car in Devil's Postpile a few years ago.  Thankfully Subarus don't have window frames, and I only had to replace the window.

Great Job on getting her taken care of so fast Craig!

Travel Notes: Be warned ... Yosemite bears prefer minivans
Sunday, November 01, 2009

What's bigger than a picnic basket and even better than one in the eyes of black bears that call Yosemite National Park home?

Minivans driven by families with children who leave behind a trail of spilled juice boxes, Cheerios and coolers carrying other snacks, according to a study published this month in the Journal of Mammalogy.

Park scientists set out to study whether the bears had developed a taste for certain vehicle models after noticing that more minivans seemed to get broken into than other types of cars.
Their research proved them right: Minivans represented 29 percent of the 908 vehicles torn into by bears between 2001 and 2007, even though they made up just 7 percent of the cars that visited Yosemite.

That's pretty bad but I've seen worse before. I grew up in the foothills and one of my neighbors left some cat food in their car. They woke up the next morning to find all the glass on one side broken and the drivers door laying on the ground next to the car. The bear litteraly tore the door off by the hinges!

Even a crackhead on PCP couldn't pull off a stunt like that. Bears are baddass.
