Funny, I was thinking the same thing.  All of that weight just crushing his intestines.  Nonetheless, very interesting, just hope good comes of it.

IMO: I could care less about the sharks in Guadalupe Island...how about tracking and studying the sharks that frequent the areas where people swim,surf,dive and kayak fish?????

They actually tagged three sharks this way off the farallones.  Can't believe they were actually issued a permit to tag these large sharks this way.
