Some of you might have caught a sarcastic fringehead, especially if you've spent any time fishing off piers. You may also have noticed that they're mean and nasty. Here's what happens when two fringeheads run into each other............

Very cool, reminds me of my mother in-law, well, ex mother in-law, but then that raises the question, can you ever have an ex mother in-law? Seems like once you have in-laws it's forever even if the original partnership dissolves, but I digress,,,,,,, :smt044

Cool vid NB. I loved watching the Nature series. Narrating doesn't get better than David Attenborough.

For sure, that was super!  Until the mouth flared open, I was thinking it resembled a sculpin.

Narrating doesn't get better than David Attenborough.

+1   Didn't know his name until now, but I agree.  There is something captivating about his voice.

First time seeing that one. I had no idea that fish could open it's jaw that wide. Cool

That reminded me of a cock fight. I wonder if that only happens for males of that species.  How big do those get?  They would be great on an aquarium.

Some of my earliest memories are of David Attenborough narrating "Life on Earth". I blame him, in part, for me studying biology. He is a living legend here in the UK and there is a perceptible national tension about his age (83) and thus the probability of an Attenboroughless world in the not too distant future.
