Tattoo idea

Guys

With my birthday coming up I was thinking of getting myself my first tattoo.  But what to get.  I looked around the web, was thinking maybe a fish hook.  Then I got the idea of a compass rose, cool looking has some meaning and history for mariners. But I couldn't find any images online that I liked.  Then I decided to try to design my own.  Here is my first decent design.  Let me know what you think

Nice design dude...you may want to check the positions of East and West before the tattooing starts. I hear they're permanent.

Good eye Paul.  Actually did that on purpose.  I thought it would be kinda funny.  The compass is for finding your way, and all we really wanna do is get lost.

Cool, Jim.  Maybe some other little element that would cement in the kayak theme - otherwise the paddle design may be lost on some as looking like softer compass points...

Be sure to pick a type font that is easier to read and not too difficult for the tatooer to etch. After all, once he starts, he only gets one try.
