Dale, Raul, and I launched at Miller park around 8:30am this morning.  It's raining and the wind was blowing around 10mph but totally doable  :smt002

Smelts and Sardines are no where to be found but the Mackerels are still there in small force.  Caught my first agent trolling while heading to the other side of Hog Island.

Sent my agent down to look for Mr. Hali in the channel around 20ft deep.  After the 3rd drifts, my rod went bendo big time and I was on the sleight ride toward the Pelican Point.

I'm soooo tired now, will continue the report in the morning  :smt003

Calm down Andy  :smt005  I was just teasing you guys  :smt003

Where was I???  Oh yeah...I can feel the head shakes and it was towing me toward channel marker closest to the Pellican Point.  It's stopping and holding deep so we're playing tug-of-war for about 5 minutes before I can gain some ground/water on it but not able to see any color yet!

Another 5 minutes went by and I can see my leader breaking the surface.

Some thing wrong with the Photobucket website, it's freezing.  I'll try reboot!

Sorry...It's my wireless connection dropped out!   Anyway, I had my camera ready in one hand and try to lift my rod up...

I saw the head popped up so I snapped a shot...

It turned out to be Mr. Seal stole my bait and get caught!   :smt003  I was disappointed but felt good about the excited moment and 15 minutes of sleight ride it gave me  :smt001

So...It's time to recruit another agent for a new mission.  Got one...oop two  :smt005

We went to shore for a lunch break

After a quick break we went back out and gave it another shot but the fog started to roll in

Within an hour the fog was so thick that we can't even see the shore lines, so we decided to head back in

Love this place when it's not blowing hard!  I shall return sooooon...

Great report Sonny. Sorry about the seal - you must have thought you had the mother of all halibuts. The part I liked was you making progress against it - ready to see color. Good work!
