Has anyone used this paddle? It looks nice but I'm not familiar with it. We broke 3 paddles this season so I need to replace them. I don't need anything fancy but the Hobie paddle and the Carlisle Daytripper can't handle hard paddling in a heavy yak. Two guys in a loaded down triple is a lot of resistance.

amph were they all alum shaft paddles? I have the seven2 ISO paddle. Its a carbon fiber shaft. While it looks weak I have had it for 2 years with no issues.

The Carlisle are aluminum shafts and they bend badly at the end of where the shafts overlap. The hobis has a plastic paddle that snapped where it plugs into the shaft. These were cheap paddles. I don't need expensive but I need to go up a level in quality.

Yeah, I've busted several aluminum Carlisle paddles in a rental setting.
 While not cheap, Werner paddles can take a serious beating & last. I've got one that is easily 20yrs old and it's still serviceable (even after being used as a para-wing support pole, emergency relief hole shovel, and shore launch kayak boarding assist).

I can't say anything about Werner's twist-lock ferrule in terms of durability though, as mine is the ancient button/divot type ferrule.
