I'm planning on using my yak to reach some otherwise inaccesible areas of rivers for float fishing steelies off the bank.
Has anyone here tried using the dry pants such as Tempest rather than waders? I like the idea of the lightness and breathability without the bib. Better fit too.
How durable would they be if I had to work my way through some brush?
The fishing was so good I thought I was there yesterday!

I can tell you I did rip mine while making a surf exit. The back of the lower thigh got caught on the the foot brace bracket. The cool thing was I called Kokatat and they fixed them for $5 + return postage ($11 total). Plus they pressure and leak tested them. Cool service.....So at least you can get them repaired if they do rip.
