This was alot of work... what have I done!!!!  Just Kidding  :smt002

Real Good time,

Fishing took a little bit of the Back seat, but I can say I started getting some good marks about a Mile out of the Marina, and notice last pic....

Guy is Holding up a nice 20+lbder caught on Frozen Shad...

So tell me, what's yer favorite brand of yak?

 There can be Only One!!!!

Kinda funny, I was stopped at Virgil's getting some bait and drinks, and the proprietor of Sunset Bay kayaks stopped to talk to me....

With the Trailer of Hobies she thought I was Competition treading on her turf..  :smt003

" These are just your personal Kayaks???!!!! "    She is really nice and quite a little drama she is going thru with the Suison City Council...

She has Voiced opposition to the Jet Skis who basically are harassing kayaks...

City council feels that jet skis bring in more $$$ to the Marina... ( BTW, proven not be true by the revenues generated this year and all they brought was garbage and Obnoxiousness ... )

but, the City Council is trying to drive her out by raising her dock fees from 2% to 10%. and I guess, some other harassment. Which is also interesting because at Beldon's landing, there is a sign prohibiting jet skis form the launch...

anyway, at the risk of having this thread moved, she is going to contact me about a possible " Paddlefest... " to protest the Jet Skis and the Cities Councils Bad attitude against Kayaks, if that is indeed what is going on.

I will post progress on this situation in Politics of Fishing if something comes of it....

This is a very interesting area for kayaking/Fishing, instant access to some really fun sloughs and very deep areas as your working out towards Montezuma,

There are very productive areas in here, would be a shame if there were some sort of bias against kayaks by the City Council...

Anyway,
will post more as I find out more in a Better Place on the Board,

    just FYI for now... :smt002

Here I go complaining about setting up a couple of kayak and you have four to deal with. LOL Yeah it is a lot of work but worth it all when you see the smile on
their faces having fun kayaking.

To paddle to Hunter's Cut, you're talking at least 7-8 miles...that's rough!  Has anyone been to the boat launch near 680 between Marshview Rd. and Parish Rd?

Beautiful report Don. Seeing the kids and the wife kayaking and having fun is too cool. Now about that fishing there and promoting kayak sports. I'm down for that one. Keep us posted for sure. Craig
