And the law won!  But im totally cool with the decision. Some of you might remember my fishing trip to San Antonio lake were I got a ticket for leaving my pole unnatended while I lay passed out in my van :drool2 from the heat!..... Ya heat.....Anyway, after around an hour it was my turn to face the judge..The warden that cited me went thru our encounter very detailed. When it was my turn I spoke the truth to the judge agreeing that what I did was punishable but asked for leniency.Bottom line is he reduced the fine from 450 to 100 dollars. After all that I sat back and wondered if A fine like that is even worth it. I understand the reason for the ticket and wont do it again. I felt bad that he wasted all that time in court when he could have been out busting poochers or something. I spoke with him afterward in the parking lot and told him just that. I think he was pissed so we went our way... Next time I pass out I will make sure im in arms lenght of my pole... Maybe attach A string?...Andy

Glad to hear that you got yourself a break at least. Big difference between 450 and 100 dollars.

You make a good point about the time involved in court, but there is no guarantee some poochers got away with something just cause dude was in court.  Plus it saved you $350.

Next time I pass out I will make sure im in arms lenght of my pole... Maybe attach A string?...Andy
Just watch out for jokers!  When I used to go catfishing with my dad, he'd pass out with the rod laying across his chest.  I'd get a kick out of tugging on the line and watching the old man jump like a cat.  It never got old... :smt003

I'm glad you can put this behind you Andy!
Now when can I bring you and your deep fryer more chicken?!  :smt044

I wouldn't go so far as to call a lingcod filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a lingcod's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

You went from a kick in the A$$ to a slap on the wrist. Be thankful you had a fair judge :smt002
