Went trolling today day in the lower section of the north fork. I had one monster hookup. Fish went airborne so I got a glimpse. Finally it becomes a stand still about 5' below the boat. I can see the tip of my leader, but the fish won't budge. I apply a little more pressure and the hook becomes unbuttoned. HEART BREAK!  I am guessing high 30s to low 40s but from what I saw it was pretty dark fish, so I guess all for the better to let that beast spawn.
