I hadn't seen that one yet.  My brother is in the tiger striped camo and our friend kirby in the green camo.  If you didn't notice, that was pee coming out of kirbys wetsuit when he was standing on the rock in the beginning of the video.  He is a sick man.

I don't know what they are using.  You can purchase underwater housing for your camera/camcorder from $50  to $1000 (depth rating from 60-200 ft).  However, if it's a waterproof compact digital, I believe the only ones you can use beyond 12-15 ft are Olympus Tough 8000 or Canon Powershot D10 (both waterproof to 33 feet).  Olympus has HD video.  I have a Canon SLR that I'd love try, but even with underwater housing good to 60ft like this one ( http://www.adorama.com/EWUA.html), I think I'd still be afraid of getting it wet and losing a few thousand dollars.

Actually, forget shooting video, I just want to try freediving and experience it directly.

From another thread on the forum... I learned about this sub-$300 HD camera that comes with a housing that has a depth rating of up to 180 feet / 60 meters, and the sample video looks very good:

Moat Creek , just south of Pt. Arena is a good kiddie pool for beginners . Went from rockpicking abs to the real deal there , was very comfy even when I dove alone . Yeah I know diving alone is a no-no , some places actually are lke a kiddie pool .
