clear lake oaks 10/17/09

went up to clear lake to work on our docks that were in need of some long awaited repair with the hopes of squeezing in some fishing.  we did finish the work early on saturday, which gave me a few hours fishing time.  i broke out the trusty lavender shad crank bait and started nailing the fish.  by the end of the day i had limit plus one small one.  my father-in-law was using the same bait and landed four keepers him self.  we stopped fishing around 5:30pm and headed for dinner.  on sunday the weather started changing and the bite dropped off with only one fish landed each, but we continued to tough it out for a bit.  the flw outdoors national guard series is having a big tournament this comming week and all of the pro's were up at the lake early getting in some practice before the qualifing starts.  so if you are heading up this comming weekend be ready for all the fishermen.
