I have the Hobie Mirage i14T tandem inflatable peddle kayak which is great for lake flat water even in wind.  I have taken a basic skills class from CCK for sea kayaking and have been cautioned even from Hobie about taking it on the sea.  I have been told it is too light to manage with one person in tides and currents but from kayakers using traditional hard side sea kayaks.  Anyone experienced with this kayak on the sea?  What thoughts do you have?

That would be enough info to keep me off of it in the ocean.
