I think we are going to have a crowd at Albion Nov 7th. Crabbing, mussels, abs and spearfishing. Bring your firewood. We will have a HD underwater video camera for you photogenic divers.

You can rent an ab package (dive package) at the local dive shop for 25 bucks.  Also, I think I have enough extra gear to lend you - if you want to give it a shot.

Merv, is this a noob-friendly event? I'd like to dive for abs if it's shallow enough (12-15'). Given the opportunity, I'd also like to just watch over somebody's shoulder to see how spearfishing is done.

You're welcome to join me. There are lots of abs where I am going to dive. I'll be spearing but I don't know if the fish will be there. The spearing depends a lot more on vis. You can get abs in anything.

I may have my wife with me. One of my dive buddies is taking his wife. I think his friend is going. I may have a friend or two from work and I'm sure people from NCKA will join. Bring firewood. I plan on making chapino with fish, mussels, crabs and Ab appetizer. It's going to be a good time if weather is good.

I will look you guys up, i am probally going to be boating it i have some none dive, yak friends that want to go crabbing. Careful when you dive that cove is covered with pots and boats.

You could add wild mushrooms to the haul. Should be prime time for the boletes!!

i have been checking the shrooms since the rains. no boleetes up yet, the tree growing shrooms are out, oyster and chicken of the woods. by the 7th the boleetes should be up, so you are more then likey right.

Getting my crab diving gear ready, nothing like kicking a dugie out of the sand and chasing it down before running out of air.

I'll be there if I'm not travelling that week.
