Spearfishing

Is there or will there be a spearfishing category in the NCKA contest?

I would be happy to setup a spear fishing category for next year if there is enough interest.

I know several regulars on this board who would be glad to take my money!

There are lurkers, and non-lurkers who are accomplished freedivers.  Jzumi, Bigeyedave, Granitedive all know what there doing and would give us all something to shoot for (pun intended)  

Ok guys give me some idea how you guys want to do it. Categories like the current pool? Just biggest fish? Entry fee? I say a bigger entry fee since the number of people will be smaller (I assume??)

OK, I'm done talking to myself (it's so bad, sometimes I send myself spam).
I would think 3 possible categories: halibut, lings, and rockfish/cabezon.
Freedive only?
And ofcourse, kayak only (that takes me out half the time).

That sounds good Rich.  Bill, I think you will see a lot of spearos come out of the wood work as soon as there is cash and bragging rights on the table.
