Love the fish-in-the-cliff shots. I see it plain as day.

I'm hating it.  I left (sick of the wind) right before it glassed off and got good.  Good to meet you guys...except for Craig.   :smt044

Good to meet you too Dave.

As Craig reported, south wind blowing as we paddled out, we hooked-up to some nice verms on our first couple of drops and thought Oh Boy! ....then the wind picked-up and developed into cold, choppy, washing-machine conditions. When we had just about enough, the wind got intermittent and then just died. The ocean laid down and the bite went wild. Whole lotta fun. Big verms and nice blues and coppers, and a mix of other species, 2 underlings for me. Good fishing with you guys!

Hey Craig,
How do you get all those fish on that small stringer? Very impressive! The freezer must be getting stocked up for the winter! Till next time, next week?

Damn Craig you cleaned up on the rojo's!!! That is an unbelievable stringer of verms! I've always wanted to do that but never managed more than three in a day off my kayak.

Awesome job and thanks for the report!

Keo,

That's actually kinda true.  A lot is luck.  i was there for a few hours with those guys and didn't catch any reds.  Then after i left, the bite went off......those assholes caught all the fish.

Reds like about a 6-7 inch swimbait on a 3 oz leadhead (red head is good).  They don't seem to like a lot of jigging action.  Just drag it along the bottom with small flips.  You'll get on em.  Also, usually has to be deeper than 50 ft.
