met up with the doc and kimo at bean hollow @ 7am this mornin and it was foggy as fu*k , the right thing to do would of been to wait it out but who does that?? doc was the first to launch and i was right behind him , i waited a lil too long and a roller landed right on top of me and sent me sideways drenching me ,kimo got out but for some reason he fell in the water past the surf zone...wtf!shit happens  LOL i loook out and george is out there bppin around waiting for us, i wait for a small set of waves then take my opening and paddle out MADE IT! kimo gets back out and we padle though the fog west in the direction of china, the water was a dark redish brown and didnt look good and it was cold as fu*k! the fishing was slow as well with a gopher for the doc and a gopher for kimo and zip for me , then the fog opened up as well as the bite!(water got clear too) , we all started nailing gophers and chinas and kimo brings in a big cabbie whoo hoo! i thought it was a ling at first
then i hear the doc " FISH ON" and my rod gets hit as well and just as im bout to say "DOUBLE!" i hear a loud ass " SPOOSHHH", turn around and see an all to familiar sight of george in the water (monterey), he starts splashing around trying to get his self together kinda resembiling a seal in distress (whitey) and kimo gos to his aid , luckily he didnt loose too much shit! got his pole , fish , water bottle , ect but lost his swimbaits and my fish whacker! all good though its all part of the game haha
THen i hear another splash and turn to see a dark figure in the water with a big ass dorsal fin and my heart skips a beat , way too soon to encounter my destined nemesis! naw just a porpiose! not a shark although i felt he was close by..anyways though we paddled north and worked the reef which turned out to be a good idea cuz we caught more fish and i nailed 3 cabezons back to back on my motor oil scampi jig! whoo hoo i was juiced! , did another drift but nothing but a few chinas and then made way for the surf landing , handled that shit like pros , packed up then me and the doc hit up some taqeria in halfmoon bay and called it a good day of fishing ,
doc has a few pics of the catch

BTW nice meeting and fishing with you kimo , your a cool dude!

Way to go Andy, did you use any of the stuff I built you?

B&B,

Nice description of the conditions and action I felt like I was there.

The couple times I stopped to check that place out it looked good for a few minutes and then some fat swell comes in and I get back in the car and head south to PP.

Ever since I quit trying to relieve myself by kneeling and piss'n over the side of the boat I seem to fall in a lot less. I remember one very calm day at Paradise after a few beverages  couldn't wait no longer and tryed the over the side routine and over I went. In the rush to get back in the boat forgot to take care of business and so I tryed again.... splash in again my homes was laughing at the double dunk  :smt005. A couple beverages later he gives it a try and just after I warn him in he goes  :smt044 :smt044.... Started carrying a large zip lock (and I think I found out what the little hatch in the floor of the Prowler is for).

Still get rolled by the surf when trying to land sometimes, always seems to get my adrenalin going looking over the shoulder and trying to time it.

Thanks for the report and good point about the compass,

See ya out there

Cool report, glad to hear you guys had a good time. Those dolphin dorsals have spooked me once or twice as well :smt003, Tsuri that relieving yourselves story had me cracking up. Funny sh!t, I usually go before I paddle out. I don't drink to much OTW, and hold it till I get in, even though it's not healthy for you.

Cool report.  Hope you didn't keep all 3 cabbies though.

after a few beverages  couldn't wait no longer and tryed the over the side routine and over I went.

A couple beverages later he gives it a try and just after I warn him in he goes

My guess is that it may not have to do so much with the technique as it has to do with the type of beverages being consumed. :smt003   Save the beer for after landing back on shore. :smt044
