I really wanted to hit the north coast today, but late last night, I decided to sleep in and go to work instead.

Things were slow and I was itching to get wet, so I left work early and decided to check out the perc ponds.

Didn't see any reds, but ran across this little fellow.  Unfortunately, the big one got away unscathed.

Sledge,
It was fairly shallow.  Most of my diving was less than 20 feet.

Abking,
Shooting my first butt was definitely a blast.  I'm still stoked.

Fred,
Didn't want to mention the part about my dive partner who brought 2 wetsuit tops, instead of a top and a bottom.  FWIW, I also brought a spare top.

Nate,
The other one I saw was probably 12-15lbs.
