Loved the cleaning bit of the video! Especially the still captures of getting the tools ready (Sierra Nevada). But I did notice it seemed to go untouched during the surgery. My bottles always seem to be pleasantly smeared with blood by the end of it!  :smt003

Nice run at the Salmon, and thanks for the updated reports. Love your style.

Hey Eric,

ripping video. Water looked good later on. Wishing I was a fishin. Fast speed effects on the video were outstanding. Will have to try that with my next one. Nicely done,

Thanks for the video Eric.  I wish I can fillet the fish half as fast as you did  :smt003

Them are some quick hands you got there. Are you aware there is a minimum fillet size for lings? When you cut them into smaller pieces, you might be at risk from a picky warden.... Also you are supposed to leave a piece of the skin attatched for ID. This only applies to transporting fish I believe. Just a thought.  :smt002 I've been reeeeeally scrutinized in the past by wardens...

Thanks for the compliments.  I pumped this video out in an hour or so - I'm not really happy with the creativity of it, but I have the basic production stuff down...

As for the Klamath or the Smith, I hope to be able to spend a little time up that way, but rivers aren't my focus.  If the ocean's flat and the wind is down I have several places I'd rather be than catching a salmon in a river.  Dropping bait off my favorite rock at Fish Bay and trying to get lucky and get some clear water for an ab dive there are high on my list.   :smt001

If I take them I have to kill them...   :smt005

Keep in touch, redwoodfox, and maybe we'll end up going on a trip.  The fact is, I don't plan trips.  I try to keep an eye on the conditions and go when it's good.  I'll post a hookup if I'm looking for someone to go with.   :smt001

The two salmon I caught, and all of the ones I heard of, had empty stomachs. With all of the bait in that water the empty stomachs indicate they were staging for a river run.

What's the size of 2-3 year fish? What size are they catching in the Klamath on average?
The fishing was so good I thought I was there yesterday!
