My friend Joe had a great time last week at Tomales catching bait fish on his maiden kayak fishing.  Took him out today along with Kiel to hunt for my lost Hali  :smt003  Met Alan/Val at the parking lot and he's also on the Hali hunt.  It's a little windy in the morning and getting worse around noon time.  Tried to catch a Mackerel for bait but they're not around today (or they heard that Allan/hightide wants to eat them Sashimi style  (i/j) :smt003) Lots of Smelts in the bay but they're too big!  Caught a nice size Sardine so I troll him around hoping to find a taker.  Got 1 big pull down but it didn't stick.  Found teeth marks on my now dead Sardine so I pinched a medium size (about 8-9") Smelt and double back hoping it's still around.  Kiel also got his bait slammed hard but it didn't stick either.  The birds were diving for lunch all around us and the seals/sea lions are also out in force.  One of them jumped clearly out of the water very close to Joe's yak that made him nervous.  Around 2pm, the wind was really howling and the wind waves were 3-4ft so Kiel decided to head in.  Joe and I fished for another 1/2 hour and called it a day.  Sorry, I couldn't find my camera this morning so no picture this time!

Good trying, Sonny, and you're off the hook for no pics because of past contributions.   :smt003

Yes, Miller park.  They have 2 boat ramps and kayak launch there is a piece-of-cake!
