I'd like to go to one of the usual haunts - Bean, Pescadero, or similar - on Saturday.  If there's no interest, I'll join the group tomorrow (Friday).  My usual fishing partner is out for this week.  Reply or PM me - thanks

If my plan on heading to SaddleBag or Clear Lake this weekend fails, this is second on my list.. :smt044 :smt044

Looks like Saturday might be the best day of the long weekend to fish, and I can't make it tomorrow, so although I need to check my WAF account first, I am definitely interested.

OK - Sat is probably best for me.  We could caravan down or I have room for another kayak on my truck.  I'd like to go before this swell comes in.  There is a spot north of bean I go to that I like alot, and the beach I launched last time just north of the lighthouse (which was a hairy launch, but phenomenal fishing, but kind of spooky).  Any preferences?

I'm always up for carpooling to save on gas and carbon emissions.

As for where to fish, I wouldn't mind giving another launch spot a try. I'm totally flexible in that department.

I'm in for Saturday. I agree with the swell concerns later on the weekend.
I usually fish BH, but I'm game to try the lighthouse spot too, if the swell allows.

OK - update...

I will go tomorrow as it looks like I'll have at least some company, and would like to be down at the beach around 7:30 or so (is that too late?  I could do earlier).  I'd like to fish one of the following:

1.) "jaws" - which is about 1 mile north of Bean.  Comparable launch, less fishing pressure.  I don't have better directions than to it is about 1 mile south of the Pescadero road.  No parking lot, but plenty of room to park on the side of the road.  Good structure, the inshore (<35 ft) is not fished heavily, the deeper water gets its share of PB action.  Short staircase and easy haul to the water.  I have never been skunked here (knock on wood).

2.) "north of the lighthouse" - not the BH code name, but the beach right where Pigeon Point road starts, heading north to south.  This is not an easy launch, and like I said, it's spooky, but there is a TON of structure and this is rarely fished.  I've been here once - caught a halibut, two ling cod and some fat cabs.  My buddy lost his net in the washing machine.

3.) Bean - which is, as we know, the Bean.

I'd be leaving San Francisco around 6:30 (again, I could leave earlier), and could take another kayak down.  I am happy to send my phone/address out if you PM me.  I'm in a grey SUV if you want to meet up on the coast.

Thoughts?

WAF will take a hit cuz I'm bailing on our weekly Farmer's Market visit, but I'm down for tomorrow.

PM sent for possible ride coordination.

Personally, I'd like to hit it as early as possible, but am flexible. I wouldn't mind trying one of the other places you mentioned (lighthouse or Jaws) if the conditions are good. Keeping some of the pressure off Bean, and finding some other spots are both good things in my book.

If it is indeed calm enough I may park at BH & drift south, beyond the usual spots. Or I may end up north to check out the Jaws launch. One way or another I will probably run into some of you out there! I plan to be OTW by 7ish if possible. I'd make it earlier but its just too frikkin dark out in the a.m. now. Will monitor #69 OTW.
