scales and guts in tack for cooking? I assume so but wanted to check

Yup, it's "HAC style" - no need to gut but I do wash 'em enough to get the slime off (before cooking) - easier to salt them down first and then wash and rub - The salt helps better clean the slime off.

Believe it or not, but they are surprisingly tasty  :smt045

I had a blast catching 'dines outside SC harbor last saturday. They were thick out there.

I wanted to keep a few & try 'em grilled like that, but no ice=no keeping 'dines for the table :smt012. I'll try it again sometime.

BTW-my 2yr old bait tube got it's first test & success :smt003! It kept 4-5 dines alive for a few hours.

maybe for the HMB event we can get one of the assist boats to carry a cooler full of ice and we can all jig some up and divide them at the end of the day

Nathan liked the taste but had a tough time with the bones. (wuss :smt003 )

so he tried filleting some and it actually turned out pretty well.  You can scale them with a hose.  I only eat them fresh.  So when you get a half asian half caucasian, HACC, they fillet bait before eating it.   :smt003
