Joseph wanted to get out of the house.  I told him that the Full Moon would probably kill the bite.

We launched at 6:30 to 7 am.  It was calm until 10 to 10:30am.  Then it blew for about and hour.

Joseph got a 14" LMB and 5 to 6 under size stripers.  I got 4 under size stripers.  I had fun at 12pm.  Got a double...but, they were 17 " and a 17 1/2".  Found them near the towers.

Looks like the weeds are going away.  I think in a month I will be doing some overnight trips for the catfish.

Ken,

Where do you park/camp?  I'd like to bring my pop-up and fish the mornings.

There are a ton of camping spaces right near the Mederios entrance. You can camp right on the waters edge. $12 a night I think. These are primitive sites, no services other than the porta potty near the closed down launch ramp.

Next week the bite should be full on with the cool down and a more favorable moon cycle.

Hi Kevin,

If you do camp over.  Camping starts at 10pm and you have to be out by noon.  But, I do not think they control that.  Mainly, the camping is controlled.  The ranger usually comes by at 10pm and ask you for your name.  They have a list.  You can have a second car park for $6.
