The Seas were Angry today My Friends...

Butt, I can count the # of times fishing this year on one hand,...  So,  Bay waves were not going to

stop me,   :smt011    A bit of a surf launch from Little Ferry Point which is very unusual..

This is a nasty day...   :smt009  Ride some very Chaotic waves and round the corner of the pier.

Find about 50 yards of fish-able water on the lee side of the pier and start bouncing my favorite

 Go-To Storm Anchovy.

Slammo!!!  23" in the yak and Hali for Dinner....  Nothing more after 12 or so more passes and the water getting more Nasty.

Kneetoe showed a little later and gave me a report of how bad it looked on the outside,

So ducked under the pier and made it back to the Launch unscathed...

Nice to see ya Kneetoe    :smt006

Like to make it back out tomorrow, but this wind looks as though it's here to stay....  :smt009

WTG on the hali Danglin. You'll be eating good tonight! Nothing beats a
fresh caught fish for dinner.

Were you launching from Alameda?

Ferry Point, Just out of Point Richmond,

A nice Easy spot in the East Bay Slayers Backyard,   :icon_r&r: :icon_r&r: :icon_r&r:

The water around there is dynamic but at the same time, kinda Blah...  it's at the mouth of the Richmond harbor, a very busy Big Ship port...

cross the Harbor, and you have a shooting distance to the Hampton Shoals, Bacon Island? Berkeley Pier, Rock jetty, stay North, structure around the Old Ferry Pier and a shot at Red Rock ( if the conditions are right... )

and that's the rub here... the only protection is around the pier if the wind comes up, and I've had it change directions.... Yikes!!!!

and even today, it would have been a bit scary just to get around the pier from wits I came...

I was actually going to find another landing spot North of the pier till kneetoe suggested to

go low profile and go under the pier....

Definitely a spot that you have to keep your head on a swivel and watch your location,

 wind and current...
