I am new to this board and it has been great learning a great deal of information!--I have a new cobra tandem outfitted for fishing and I am taking it up to tahoe this weekend--Would a shorelander waverunner trailer work ok for transport or is it better to put on top of the durango with mako saddles??

thanks much

The shorelander should work fine but with a trailer you're subject to 55mph and slow lane travel. Although a little ford explorer towing a 22 foot ski boat blew by me in the fast lane coming down the Altamont yesterday.

I'd go saddles.

doh....Well Tahoe rick.....you're alredy in Tahoe so you're probably not worried about freeway travel   :smt003
I'd still go saddles, unless you're at the boat ramp, finding a parking for trailers always sucks.

If your Durango has factory racks, I'd even go as far as saying save some money and skip the saddles if you haven't purchased them.  Turn the kayak upside down and lay it on the Durango's racks.

Load it on top of the vehicle. Easier to park, easier to maneuver and cheaper use fees too.
