I wanted a kayak work stand. Thought about doing the PVC stand thing, but didn't want to deal with the cutting, gluing and such.

Found this work stand at Harbor Freight. $19.99 - 20% = $15.99 cheap.
Easy to assemble. I added two extra straps.

How did you score the 20 percent off?

I'm on their email list. They send coupons and specials often.

In the store. I looked all over store and couldn't find one. Asked a kid that works there if they had it. He said "if it's not on display, we don't have it". So I looked some more and found a couple under some other crap. Going to HF is always an adventure.

Thanks, Alfredo. The kid is actually wrong. Harbor Freight sells a knockoff of the Fein Multimaster tool and doesn't always display it. It's so popular that people are asking for it as soon as they enter the store. It works OK, not as good as the Fein...but not as expensive either $40 vs $400.
