After three or four weeks without fishing, HobieDave and I hit Paradise this morning.  I picked up some shiners from Keith at Loch Lomond before we launched.  It was kind of a cold and gloomy morning condidering it's the end of July but the water was fairly calm and the wind wan't too bad.  Dave I both got small sharks early on but the bite was pretty slow most of the day.  I managed to loose a Butt when my leader snapped right at the hook.  I probably should have re-rigged it after catching the shark.  I managed to get another Butt early in the afternoon, picture attached.  Just as we were coming in, actually after I was in and Dave was on his way, one of the cables broke on his drive.  When he radio'd for assistance, Fishemotion came to the rescue and towed him in.  Yet another example of the great people at NCKA. I already had my yak on the rack, so it was great that fishemotion came to the rescue.  The way the current was moving, he might have been a long way out by the time I unloaded and relaunched my yak.  Thanks again to fishemotion!  Unfortunately all of the pictures are Iphone pics but I'll post them anyway.  I guess I'm gonna have to get a camera sooner or later.

Congrat on your catch.   High five to Ed for the towing service!  Didn't Dave carry a paddle with him?  Anyway, thanks for the report and pictures Martin.

Cool pics Martin.  :smt004 I wasn't too far away when I heard the call, so I figured I'd help if I could. It was actually a good learning experience for me as well. Dave seemed ok, but I didn't know how far he'd been out before losing the drive and figured it'd be a little fun for both of to do the tow thing :smt002 I felt like rocky or something while Dave was reading out the speed from his GPS heheh.

Made for at least somewhat of an eventful time on the water for me as I got skunked without even a bite. Pier guys got nada on the buts as well.

Congrats on getting your hali BTW. You had the mojo!
