Okay folks, the good news:   Great conditions, calm and very little wind until 1:00 or so.

Bait was busting everywhere today, easy to make sardines by the sailboat moorings...or just about anywhere else. We fished along New Brighton beach, slow trolling bait on the inside, but it was made difficult by all the weed and kelp in the water. No love from the stripers today. No fish at all today, but we didn't target rockfish at all.

So, the highlight of the day was just watching the furbags feed. Really, it was fun to watch them jam around, even explode vertically chasing bait. You could take a friend out with your Starbucks in the morning just to catch the show.

Water at it's warmest was 62...would have gone for a swim if I was on the beach today.

That's all,

Paul

Nice to meet you guys today, I had similiar results. I stayed on the water 45 min- 1 hour, most of the time spent fartin around with stupid abu garcia reel.:smt012The levelwind keeps getting stuck on one side driving me crazy! So I ended up calling it quits before I even really got started. Oh well, another project to work on, and... there's always next time

I love watching the sardines break the water and rain down on an open seal mouth.  Hey and you did catch fish, sardines count.

Last weekend, the furbag action was out of control. The only fish I had on the whole day was immediately stolen by one of those blubber torpedoes.
