Fished with Obkook and Sailfish at Paradise.  Obkook scored some shiners from Keith @ Loch Lomond - smallest shiners i've ever seen.  There was consistent action all morning.  PBs were hooking up here and there, obkook got robbed 4 times.  He had a huge takedown which bit off his braided line.  I finally managed to get a bite and stuck a 20in striper.

Obkook and I quit around 1pm - bite died around noon.  We expected things to pick up later in the afternoon but decided not to wait.

The stripers stomach was stuffed full with grass shrimp - they were fresh and undigested.

Got to LL baitshop around 7:15am and picked up 1/2 dozen of Shiners from Keith.  Took a picture of his pet wondering around waiting for a meal  :smt003

Hit traffic jam when getting close to Paradise due to some kind of "Tour de Paradise"  :smt044

Got to the launch ramp and suprised by the cleaned launch path (thanks to whoever did this).

The water was FAC and saw my future sail boat  :smt007

Met Marvin/Shicken and Peter/obkook OTW and trolling with them around the point.  Got a couple of hits but nothing sticked.

Saw several Hali's landed from the party boat.  Heard on the radio they caught around 15 of them.

Marvin landed a Striper

Marvin and Peter left around 1pm.  I decided to head over to the piling area and try my luck there.  Saw many birds diving for bait fish all afternoon.  I guess they're better at fishing than we're  :smt003  Finally hooked-up and landed a 26" Hali around 5:30pm.

Slowly trolled back to the ramp and got off the water around 6pm.  If I don't have to pickup my son at the SFO, I'll probably fish until they kick me out of the park  :smt044

Thanks for posting the pics, Sonny!

And WTG on your persistence to get that Hali - you really deserved it!

I missed a couple of decent bites, and was frustrated at myself for that, but the day was absolutely georgeous out there - warm, calm, and sunny - even though we were hearing radio chatter from sailboats finding more wind than they wanted.

I even caught myself dozing in the warm sun at one point!

No, I'm not. I'll look into them. Thanks.

Shicken pointed out to me that my hooks may have been a bit large for the tiny shiners we had that day, too. (3/0)

I think I just haven't figured out the halibut feel and timing yet.
